Episode Description

Think back to when you were in school. More times than not the person who inspired you, believed in you and encouraged you, other than your parents, was a teacher. It could have been a teacher as early as 2nd or 3rd grade who made you feel that you mattered, that you had the ability to learn and thrive and you were special. For some of us it might have been in high school or college, but somewhere along your journey a teacher played a major role in your life. Education has long been the ticket to success. As one teacher told me years ago, an education is like having the ticket the dance. It doesn’t guarantee someone is going to dance with you, but it gets you in the door and increases your opportunity. In the U.S., our teachers are not well paid. The position is not held in high esteem, school budgets are constantly being cut while classroom size is constantly getting larger. The burn out rate for teachers is very high. Tune in and discover how we can change this dynamic.

Life Altering Events

Archives Available on VoiceAmerica Empowerment Channel

Everyone has those AHA moments or events that change our lives for better or worse. These life altering events occur in every aspect of our professional, personal, and in the lives of our family. Try as we may, it is impossible to completely separate the events in our personal life from our professional life. Believe me, I tried and failed miserably. Life altering events present us with opportunities to seize the moment and make difference in our own life, the lives of our loved one, friends and business associates. They also can be a fork in the road where we can fall apart or pick up the pieces and start moving forward toward better times and better people. It is never too late to have the life you want and deserve. Let’s talk about it.
