Episode Description
Are you stuck and bored with your life? Want to 'boldly go where no man or woman has gone before?' Many find themselves in this kind of rut. Instead of seeking change, they continue on the hamster wheel, unhappy and unfulfilled. My guest, Joel Landi, found the deeper fulfillment he was looking for by taking more risks. Through The Performance Group, he combines a bold and adventurous format with a warm and authentic conversational backdrop to invigorate personal transformation. It’s not about competition, it’s about committing to people achieving their personal best. Legendary coach John Wooden said that success is knowing you did the best you are personally capable of doing. Ready to live out your best self? Is there is a passion, plan or a promise you long to fulfill? Join us to find out how taking more risks helps you reap greater rewards. Time to get off that hamster wheel and start thriving. On Choose Your Energy, Change Your Life, Deborah Jane Wells and her guests help you become more insightful, creative, committed, and productive through clear strategies and practical tools.
Deborah helps individuals and organizations learn to harness the transformative power of love to step into their greatness. When we choose fear as our fuel, any of us—individuals and organizations alike—can become stuck in the hamster wheel approach to life. Trapped by the mistaken belief that busyness is the same as purpose, we can’t stand the way we’re living but feel powerless to change.
As they work together, Deborah’s clients discover that when you fall in love with yourself, everything else falls into place, personally and professionally. You get unstuck, reclaim your personal power and recapture your zest for living. When love transforms your relationship with yourself, it transforms your personal life, your work and the world. What’s love got to do with it? Everything!

If you've ever had the opportunity to watch someone grow in a completely extraordinary way, you will understand what friends and clients mean when they say they love the very idea of Deborah.
Starting her professional career as an Organization Consultant in 1975, over the next 30 years, Deborah went on to serve as a Senior Partner in 4 of the world's largest and most prestigious global professional services firms.
Despite her positions and fancy titles, people at all levels were drawn to her. While the toys on her desk and the rubber chicken hanging from her ceiling may have engaged everyone’s curiosity, it was her combination of piercing intellect, good humor and playfulness that put people at ease.
While Deborah had some wonderful times in that 30 year career, 3 decades of being on the hamster wheel, with little regard for her personal health and welfare, took their toll. She retired in 2005, a poster child for professional burnout, exhausted, morbidly obese and clinically depressed.
In 2009, Deborah hit bottom. She lost 3 loved ones in 5 weeks and her husband was assigned to a 3-year post in Washington, DC. Living alone for the first time in her life, over the next 3 years, Deborah discovered that when she fell in love with herself, everything else finally fell into place, personally and professionally. She transformed her existence and found her purpose as a Life Coach and Reiki Master guiding others on their Journeys to Wholeness.
