Episode Description

In this episode of Breakthrough, Sara Roach Lewis speaks with Martha Van Inwegen, founder, president, and chief alchemist of Life Elements Inc., a woman-owned, minority-certified company that produces and distributes a line of natural body care products, including a CBD-hemp-derived line inspired by her daughter’s health condition. Martha shares her childhood experience living in a small village in Mexico where shoes were a luxury, medicine was unavailable, and everything they needed came from their backyard. From gathering herbs and flowers with her grandparents to running a million-dollar company, Martha speaks on the importance of authenticity, speaking your truth in business, and how a little feng shui helped move her business forward. Tune in to hear Sara and Martha talk about blending the personal with business and how doing so can help you stand out and make a name for your business in a flooded market.

Entrepreneurs often have similar characteristics: energy, passion, vision. Why do some soar to success while others struggle to climb?

Would it shock you to know that less than 2 percent of women-owned businesses in North America ever achieve a million dollars a year in revenue? Why is that? How do we dramatically increase that number?

What methods and mindsets do these powerful businesswomen have that you can learn from as you press forward on your journey to success? What obstacles did they face, opportunities did they identify, and trails did they blaze to hit this milestone?

Each week Sara Roach Lewis has conversations with the ambitious women entrepreneurs that help to form that 2 percent as well as those destined to shatter it. Are you interested in becoming a 7-figure entrepreneur? Sara Roach Lewis is here to help you “breakthrough.” Listen live every Monday at 8 AM Pacific Time on the VoiceAmerica Business Channel.
