A non-profit organization that builds community homes for older adults, The Green House Project reinvents the typical nursing home. Residents have an excellent quality of life and care, and where they, their families, and the staff engage in meaningful relationships based on equality, empowerment, and mutual respect. The Green House Project has come to be recognized as the leader in creating high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable, human-scale alternatives to the traditional nursing home. The pace of momentum continues to increase, now with the majority of states having Green House homes, and international interest. By infusing the entire organization with optimal systems and structural changes that create a unified approach to elder-directed care, GHP creates a disruptive and high impact innovation. The Green House Project means much more than simply building a small house, it is a movement that de-institutionalizes, de-stigmatizes, and humanizes care for all elders in need of long-term care. The team includes specialists in aging services, business and finance, communications, marketing, and healthcare. Their extensive experience has resulted in relationships with key thought leaders, policymakers, and other senior living stakeholders. Patricia has interviewed talented writers, producers and directors from the Hallmark Channel including Michael Landon Jr., Elliot Gould, Ernest Borgnine and Patty Duke. Her programs have aired on Cumulus, PBS and NPR affiliates, WTKF, 107.3FM, Blog Talk Radio and she was one of the first to create positive radio programs on the internet.
